Oklahoma SRO Academy

Description

The Oklahoma SRO Academy is a 40-hour CLEET-accredited class. It also includes 4 hours of mental health training. This training is offered through the Oklahoma School Security Institute and is not affiliated with NASRO.

The key topics listed are a short version of some topics on the agenda. We will have sections instructed by experts in their fields, such as District Attorneys, State Department of Education, School Counselors, School Emergency Managers, OSSI, and OHP.

After successful completion, you will receive:
1) 40 hours of CLEET credit of the best information provided by experts in their field.
2) 4 hours of mental health credit from CLEET
3) Certified to conduct Risk Assessments through the office of the Oklahoma School Security Institute
4) Certificate from the US Office of Homeland Security for Behavioral Threat Evaluation and Reporting
5) Stop the Bleed training
6) Naloxone training

There is no charge for attending the class. Lodging and meals are the responsibility of the attendee. There are plenty of quality places to stay in Bricktown, approximately 15 minutes from the DPS complex. The class size is limited, so don’t delay enrolling. If you can access the portal, we are still taking enrollments; when it is full, the portal will close.
