Handle With Care Oklahoma Training

Handle With Care Oklahoma Training is designed to advance partnerships between law enforcement, schools, and behavioral/social/health providers to create a safe and supportive academic environment for all, including children recently exposed to traumatic events known as “adverse childhood experiences” (ACEs).  ACEs are broad and sweeping events that may include experiencing violence, abuse, or neglect, or witnessing violence in the home.  With buffering supports, adversities can be addressed and lead to a positive life trajectory.  Children must feel safe in order to learn.
