The Rope Rescue Operations course is designed to teach responders to operate as rescuers in high or low-angle environments. Students will learn how to build rope systems to effectively provide access to patients for assessment, treatment, packaging, and extraction. Students will learn how to construct and operate anchor systems, fixed rope systems, lowering systems, dual tension systems, belay systems, mechanical advantage systems, and patient packaging devices and systems.

The course covers operations in a high angle environment including rescue of a suspended victim, serving as a litter tender, and construction/operation of a high line system.
