Flammable Liquid and Gas

Examines tactical considerations and their coordinated application in response to fires involving flammable liquids and gases. Classroom lecture, hands-on exercises, and live burn scenario training focus on key team coordination concepts. The course is intense, disciplined, and physically challenging. Fire fighter safety and proper use of PPE will be reinforced throughout the course. Both public and private sector firefighters are welcomed to attend.

• Training props simulate fires from pooled flammable liquids, low and elevated pressurized valve leaks and split pipes. Live fire fighting skill training, while rewarding, is intensely hot, challenging and physically demanding. 

• SCBA trained

• Fire Fighter I or basic fire fighter training

• Live Fire Training Verification Form

• NFPA approved PPE and SCBA.
