This two-day, hands-on course introduces emergency management professionals to practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to support planning, exercises, response operations, recovery, and reporting activities. Participants will learn to responsibly use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and Gemini to enhance their emergency management work. Designed for beginners, the course provides guided practice, peer collaboration, and actionable tools that participants can immediately apply in their agencies. Attendees are encouraged to bring current work products (plans, exercises, grants, policies, AARs) for real-world application during the course.
