BEHAVIORAL THREAT ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT COURSE

Description

The Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) Certification Course is a 40-hour training (CLEET credit with mental health credit) that teaches participants to identify, assess, and manage threats. 

This course is geared to anyone responsible for assessing and managing those who may pose a risk of targeted violence, including law enforcement or our community partners. It will cover all aspects of targeted violence (schools, workplaces, religious institutions, etc.) and indicators of terrorism. This course offers law enforcement credit (40 hours with 2 hours of mental health credit).

DAY 1 – BTERC (Threat Evaluation and Reporting Course)

DAY 2 – Mental Health and Threat Cases / Intake and Triage

DAY 3 – School Specific / Investigation of Threat Cases

DAY 4 – Assessment and Management of Threat Cases

DAY 5 – Documentation and Case Management
