IMAT Development Workshops
Description
The Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security (OKOHS) will conduct a series of three workshops that will seek your input to help OKOHS develop a state-sponsored Incident Management Assistance Team (IMAT). Each workshop focuses on different areas of IMAT development.
Workshop #1 – Team Members
This workshop will focus on the composition and makeup of the IMAT. Topics we will solicit your input on include:
- Team Composition
- Team Member Requirements
- Team Member Selection
- Agreements and Commitments
- Team Member Qualification, Certification, and Credentialing
- Team training and Meetings
- Team Discipline Policy and Process for Removal from the Team.
Workshop #2 – Operations and Logistics
This workshop will focus on IMAT operations and logistics related to deployments. Topics we will solicit your input on include:
- IMAT Request and Deployment
- IMAT Team Apparel or Uniform
- IMAT Self-Sufficiency
- IMAT Equipment
- Individual Go-Kits
- Media Policies – Interactions, Access, Requests, and Releases
- Social Media Policies – Access, Posting, Requests, and Releases
- Critical Incident Stress Management
Workshop #3 – Finance and Administration
This workshop will focus on financial and administrative matters related to IMAT deployment and operations. Topics we will solicit your input on include:
- Reimbursement – Labor/Salary, Travel, Lodging, Per Diem
- Claims – Lost or damaged equipment
- Tort Liability and Immunity
- Workers Compensation and Death Benefits
- Records Management
- Code of Conduct, Ethics, and Harassment-Free Policies
