IMAT Development Workshops

Description

The Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security (OKOHS) will conduct a series of three workshops that will seek your input to help OKOHS develop a state-sponsored Incident Management Assistance Team (IMAT).  Each workshop focuses on different areas of IMAT development.

Workshop #1 – Team Members

This workshop will focus on the composition and makeup of the IMAT.  Topics we will solicit your input on include:

  • Team Composition
  • Team Member Requirements
  • Team Member Selection
  • Agreements and Commitments
  • Team Member Qualification, Certification, and Credentialing
  • Team training and Meetings
  • Team Discipline Policy and Process for Removal from the Team.

Workshop #2 – Operations and Logistics

This workshop will focus on IMAT operations and logistics related to deployments.  Topics we will solicit your input on include:

  • IMAT Request and Deployment
  • IMAT Team Apparel or Uniform
  • IMAT Self-Sufficiency
  • IMAT Equipment
  • Individual Go-Kits
  • Media Policies – Interactions, Access, Requests, and Releases
  • Social Media Policies – Access, Posting, Requests, and Releases
  • Critical Incident Stress Management

Workshop #3 – Finance and Administration 

This workshop will focus on financial and administrative matters related to IMAT deployment and operations.  Topics we will solicit your input on include:

  • Reimbursement – Labor/Salary, Travel, Lodging, Per Diem
  • Claims – Lost or damaged equipment
  • Tort Liability and Immunity
  • Workers Compensation and Death Benefits
  • Records Management
  • Code of Conduct, Ethics, and Harassment-Free Policies
